When you think about how you learned your native language you can see how having a tool like the Rocket Spanish Forum is an immense advantage. When we are young we learn first by listening and making connections and then by asking questions. Sharing your experiences, concerns, doubts, and even anecdotes with a group that understands the process can be beneficial and surprisingly encouraging. Having that support system and knowing that there are others out there can be a great motivator for the members of Rocket Spanish.

Mauricio and Amy have done a fabulous job with the Rocket Spanish lessons. They have specially succeeded in incorporating everyday Spanish into their materials. This learning experience can be complemented quite easily with the use of the Rocket Spanish Forum.

Most of the Rocket Spanish learners are beginners that are not really interested in Learning Spanish formally or for academic reasons. Immersion + Fun = Success

The Rocket Spanish Forum made me think of the dynamic that can be found in Language Camps for children. A Language Camp is designed to immerse children in a foreign language while having fun alongside their peers who speak the same native language. In Language Camp you have your counselors that are experts at the target language- Spanish in our case- and you have the fellow campers who are on the same boat as you are. Just like in the Rocket Spanish Forum but instead of counselors you have Mauricio, Amy, and the postmaster; who understand, are knowledgeable, and helpful. You also have your fellow campers… other members that have questions like you, travel experiences, and language concerns.

The Rocket Spanish Forum is very well organized. There are sections for grammar questions, travel concerns in different countries, and you even have a section for updates from Mauricio about the Rocket Spanish materials. The Travel section is so much fun! Rocket Spanish members can showcase their travels and share their experiences in Spanish speaking countries. One of the members even posted a slide show about his travels! The Updates section is also a favorite of mine because it creates an excellent rapport between the Rocket Spanish members and the Rocket Spanish creator: Mauricio. This is something that you don’t find in other more expensive language courses.
