About Yours Truly

Hello everyone, this is Ingrid – your guide here at the Rocket Spanish Blog. A little about me…I was born in Torrance, California but spent the majority of my life living in Chihuahua, Mexico. There I attended the exclusive Tecnologico de Monterrey Preparatory School where my interest in languages began. In 2003, my family and I moved to El Paso, Texas.

I recently graduated with a B.A. with the majors of Psychology and Foreign Languages from New Mexico State University. For now I am spending the summer in New Mexico but in the Fall I will be beggining my Masters program in Dallas, TX.  My goal is to obtain a doctorate and become a Speech Language Pathologist. I speak three languages, English, Spanish, and French. These skills have been invaluable to me as a document translator for the New Mexico Department of Health and the Psysical Science Lab funded by NASA.

I maintain a very active lifestyle, enjoying both modern dance and ballet along with snow skiing. I am also a fan of cooking and food and love to experiment with International cuisine.
